IIIg and 50mm f/2 Summar. Ilford XP2. Yes, it's a busy scene. I just wanted to see how the camera/lens would handle it. Quite well, it seems...

I found a roll of SFX film in a drawer, so thought I'd put it through the IIIg with a yellow filter attached, purely out of curiosity. The roll came back from Ilford very dark. I've raised the shadows a little bit, but there was little to reveal. Still, I quite like some of the shots.

I was given some outdated C41 film at Brentwood & District Photographic Club so I got out my 1934 Model II + 1936 50mm f2 Summar which I have not used for a long while and tested the 'Lloyds Pharmacy 200 ' film dated 02/2004 in my new set on Mini-Lab 'Fuji Hunt 'Econoneg' C41 developer . I downrated the film to 125ASA as I have used that emulsion before ( it is actually Ferrania Italy ) I metered  with a British Weston Master III  from the 1960's and got mostly 1/100th @ f6.3 or f4.5 and got good negs. I scanned with Canon 9000F Mk II  + Vuescan Pro + FastStone Image Viewer. They are NOT 'Camera Club Compeition Photos' but the old lens performed well and shutter seems accurate !

An interesting photo in more ways than one. My first thought was that the negative was flipped and it isn't really a left handed guitar. But no, the band on the hat and the way the shirt buttons clearly show the negative is the right way around.

Nice shot.  I too thought the photo was flipped until I saw the low E string at the top of the fretboard.

Wouldn't the low E-string be at the top of the fretboard whether it was flipped or not, Ray? 🤔

Pete.
