Guest Posted September 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Question, I am planning a nude shoot with a good friend of mine, I have shot her many times with Leica S and H6D100c but this time I am going to try something different and shoot her with my M10 Noctilux and 90mm APO. I plan to shoot her in a backlit environment so will use a Profoto B1 head for fill light......... Questions 1/. What is the flash sync speed of the M10? 2/. Will the Profoto Air remote trigger off of the M10? I will post the pictures here after the shoot hence the NSFW heading Neil

a.noctilux Posted September 19, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 19, 2018 Hello Neil, Nice project. 1 - 1/180 or less ( I use mainly 1/90 or 1/125 for flash to have some margin ) 2 - sorry I don't know, but someone who use Profoto Air with M10 may put in here

The Profoto air will work as a dumb trigger in manual as you know. You should be able to adjust the B1 from the trigger for light intensity. I might suggest some ND filters for the flash head to help subtract light if needed if you plan on shooting at f2.0-f0.95. I've used my Profoto air for Fuji on my M240 with out issue from 180 and down. I know your asking about an M10 with Profoto air and I can not see what the difference would really be.... Have fun with your shoot! Edited September 19, 2018 by ru2far2c
sillbeers15 Posted September 21, 2018 Share #4 Posted September 21, 2018 On M240, SL & M10, I've used shutter speed of 1/250 sec and lower to sync without problems for lighting systems which do not support HSS.
