Looking at that video, the filter size for the 24-105mm is a huge 77mm, which really gives a clear idea of the scale of the outfit - even my Sony 70-200mm f4 G is only 72mm.

Ummm, the Sony 24-105 f4 G, also has a 77mm filter size.....

An interesting remark by Peter Karbe was that a fixed aperture zoom is just a variable aperture one with the larger apertures at the short end disabled. So a constant 2.8 might be capable of 1.4 on the wide end.

You can see this on many constant aperture lenses.  The aperture blades stop down as you zoom out.  This mattered more in the days when all metering was not through the lens and we liked to have accurate aperture marks on the lens.  Now that we don’t have calibrated aperture markings on the lens, might as well have the extra speed at the wide end...

Video shooters still like constant apertures.

Heavier than the SL, a bit higher, a lot thicker, but a 25% more dot EVF. And, oh BTW, double the MPS and ~$2k less. If it handles M lenses as well as the Nikon Z7, this could be very interesting.

Should handle the Leica SL lenses well.  I use my grip to balance the camera and I know many here use the RRS base, so the higher/thicker looks promising.

For a 47.3 sensor it would be 47.3/(1.5x1.5) i.e. slightly more than 21 megapixel.
