Joeri Posted September 8, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 8, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) A client that participated in my workshop turned up with an M9 with a terribly misaligned rangefinder. She's traveling back to NYC in a couple of days, but will leave for Nepal for a trekking shortly after. Does anyone know a technician in NYC who is capable of calibrating a rangefinder and possibly within a week? Thanks!

Jean-Michel Posted September 8, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 8, 2018 USA members will be of more help, but Leica USA is in Allendale New Jersey, about 30 miles from NYC. A phone call and a visit might be possible.
bah212 Posted September 10, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 10, 2018 I suggest sending an email to Ken Hansen khpny19@aol.com a highly regarded Leica dealer in NYC. He should be able to offer a recommendation . http://gmpphoto.blogspot.com/2017/04/probably-most-unusual-leica-dealer-in.html

jaapv Posted September 10, 2018 Share #6 Posted September 10, 2018 The point is, of course, that in a pinch a rangefinder calibration can be done as ready-whilst-you-wait. The only problem is finding somebody to do it. In my view, Leica NJ should be able to handle a walk-in in this case.

jaapv Posted September 17, 2018 Share #8 Posted September 17, 2018 And, did she get her camera calibrated in time?
sblutter Posted September 17, 2018 Share #9 Posted September 17, 2018 Don Goldberg in Wisconsin is terrific, fairly priced, guarantees his work and is WAY faster than Leica NJ Google DAG Also does a great job on lenses
