kengai Posted September 1, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 1, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I already have 23mm, which is giving me excellent results. I'm interested in 18mm for the small size, how does it behave on the CL? Is it equal to 23mm or not?
Advertisement Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Hi kengai, Take a look here 18mm on APS-C. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ramarren Posted September 1, 2018 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2018 Some folks seem to prefer it, others prefer the 23mm. I would be interested specifically for the size, and am confident that the performance would be fine. But my preference in terms of FoV and speed in a native lens is pushing me to the 'Lux 35. digitalfx Posted September 1, 2018 Share #3 Posted September 1, 2018 I have both and love them. The 18mm is half the size and weight and produces exceptional images, and I would never part with the 23mm. They are both keepers. From the 18mm, which I took on vacation as my only lens on the CL: Welcome, dear visitor! johntobias Posted September 2, 2018 Share #4 Posted September 2, 2018 I have the 18 and 35, the iq is fine and makes the cl/18 a tiny package........quality and dof on the 35 are stellar! Better than the 18 or 23. I’ve always thought the 18 to be the ‘forgotton’ member of the lineup but they are often available used for around the 600 gbp mark and that is imho a bargain
