wide open or f2. Unsure but it gives a nice painterly look imo.

SL2-S 35:1.4 V2 Titan at F2.

I'm starting to really like this lens on the SL2-S where I can use a Light Lens Lab M-L Mount Adapter with Close Focus Helicoid to get past the minimum focus distance of 3 feet.

Just received my copy and had a short golden hour run yesterday on M10-P. Here’s a frame shot at F1.4, slightly off focus as I guessed the close distance wrongly.

Another frame of the same scene. I put on the 12504 hood, but the flare ring just stays if you don’t stop down to F2.0.

At F1.4 and less than 5m away from the elder. The glow softens his hair too.

F1.4 and 3m away from the boy in the center. The soft rendering around the outline is fascinating.

At F2.8. Sharp as any other decent summicrons. It’s like a man with wild hair and mustache carefully combed and shaved into a slicked hair and smart looking guy.

At F2.8 IIRC. Sharp and clean.

BTW, I set the lens as pre-asph in M10-P and then I was fiddling with the lens-correction option in LR. It seems the lens-correction profile stretched the corner out a little bit in the direction of correcting barrel distortions. However I can’t justify if it’s really needed, because it seems there is already little-to-none distortions, and after the lens-correction it looks a bit overdone to be under pincushion.
