Advertisement Posted August 25, 2018 Posted August 25, 2018 Hi Royalpar1, Take a look here Camera bag lens and flash. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
grahamhoey Posted August 25, 2018 Share #2 Posted August 25, 2018 Can’t speak to 1 or 2 but I would suggest the Summilux TL 35mm f1.4. It is an exceptional lens and adds low light capability to the zoom.
jaapv Posted August 26, 2018 Share #3 Posted August 26, 2018 1. Billingham for Leica ( available through Leica Stores only) 2 SF40. The SF60 is too large and overkill for casual use. 3. Depending entirely on your use. Both other zooms are excellent (as well), or add a prime for lens speed. There is a galaxy of lenses out there if you add the L-M adapter. Bill W Posted August 26, 2018 Share #4 Posted August 26, 2018 If you want an inconspicuous bag, consider the Tenba Cooper 8. I find it perfect for the CL with 18-56, SF40 or 60 plus room for another lens which I am waiting for.
DaveD1 Posted August 27, 2018 Share #5 Posted August 27, 2018 IMO Leica's belong in FOGG bags.....
jaapv Posted August 27, 2018 Share #6 Posted August 27, 2018 It doesn't belong in a bag at all. It should be around your neck, ready to shoot.
Joeri Posted August 27, 2018 Share #7 Posted August 27, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hadley Small (pro) or L2, which is almost the same as the Billingham for Leica: http://joerivanderkloet.com/the-billingham-l2-review/ I'd go for the L2, or like Jaap said, the Billingham for Leica. johntobias Posted August 27, 2018 Share #8 Posted August 27, 2018 M combi bag, small see my earlier post , 35 f1.4 is fabulous and finally 40, other flash is far to big
ramarren Posted August 27, 2018 Share #9 Posted August 27, 2018 Hadley Small (pro) or L2, which is almost the same as the Billingham for Leica: http://joerivanderkloet.com/the-billingham-l2-review/ I'd go for the L2, or like Jaap said, the Billingham for Leica. Of the two, I prefer the L2, I like the large open pocket at the front.

Royalpar1 Posted August 29, 2018 Author Share #11 Posted August 29, 2018 Ok, i have purchased 3 bags for testing on my CL, the hadley pro is just a little large for me. The small i like but feel the hadley leica is the best of the 3 for me, although a little tight, i would rather have that.
jaapv Posted August 29, 2018 Share #12 Posted August 29, 2018 I assume you mean the M combination bag. That is indeed a good choice. It will take the CL with handgrip and 18-56, 55-135 and 11-23. The SF40 flash (unfolded) will fit into the front compartment, together with batteries, charger etc. All snugly but perfectly.
ramarren Posted August 30, 2018 Share #13 Posted August 30, 2018 I left my smaller sling bags home, in the end, when I was packing for this extended trip because even though all my CL equipment fits snugly into either of those smaller bags, the Black Label Bag "Oskar's One Day Bag Mark II" is simply far more useful a shoulder carry when I'm traipsing about on travel, with many more options for organization and the ability to stuff my jacket and hat into it on a sunny day as well as grab and stuff cameras, lenses, batteries, et al easily. And deal with transit tickets, passes, schedules, etc etc as well. I use the smaller bags more at home and when schlepping about casually on car and motorcycle trips, but on travel I have more need for space and ease of use. ,. jaapv Posted August 30, 2018 Share #14 Posted August 30, 2018 My solution for this is to use a larger bag for transport. I have a Hadley Presstop with backpack harness for that. I will carry an empty Billingham for Leica or an Lowepro bumbag I have, in the normal luggage for use on the spot.

Royalpar1 Posted August 30, 2018 Author Share #16 Posted August 30, 2018 i have purchased both and returning one I find the Hadley small a slightly larger bag than the billingham combo bag. I wanted to love the leica M but it does not hold the CL with the 18-56 as well. thoughts ?

bherman01545 Posted August 31, 2018 Share #18 Posted August 31, 2018 I have my CL with 18-56 Zoom attached, a 23mm F2 and an SF 40 in the main compartment of a Billingham Hadley Small Pro, and the front pockets are filled with a charger, memory cards, caps, filters and a microfiber cloth. It is perfect for my needs. -Brad
