This may be the only time I have seen anything less than friendly acknowledgment from the subject in one of your pictures, Stuart.

 

Was she not supposed to be in the motorman's cabin? That would seem to be the likely source of her annoyance. 

 

As a rider almost daily of regional rail I would be eager to know if this is standard practice.

Thank you.  On this particular train which starts here, the conductor frequently goes into the tail motorman's cabin to make some adjustments.  I have no idea what they are doing.
