Add Fogg to your list - see website link below.  The Soprano is excellent if you just want to carry the Q and not much else.  The new Satchmo bag looks interesting - first Fogg bag in leather.

Thanks, I did not know that brand at all.

Their green color is clearly a homage of the Swiss army bag, specially the ammo bag

The Flute can also apparently take a Q, but it might be a bit narrow, and I'm not quite sure about the vertical kind of look,

The Soprano looks indeed nicer.

Fogg is at the upper end of the price scale, but they are hand made and the quality is superb.  The bags are also built to last - I'm still using one of their early designs, the Bumblebee, which is over 30 years old.  I needed some new dividers and contacted Fogg direct to ask how much.  Nigel Fogg said it would be "too complicated" to work out a price, but could I just send some English language paperback books, which they find difficult to source in France!

The Flute does indeed look a little small for the Q, particularly with lens hood attached - it's really designed for an M camera with 50mm (or small wide angle) lens.  I have the Soprano for when I just want to carry the Q.  Although they are made in France, I don't know of any French stockists, but very easy to deal with Nigel and bee direct.  They will even customise the bag with your name or other inscription.

I have no affiliation with Fogg, just a satisfied customer, and they are really nice people to deal with.

I'd vote for Billingham bags as being a viable solution more most requirements, despite the warning from Likealot early in this thread that:

" For me a Billingham bag style is unusable in the UK where these bags are seen as "man bags" and are seen as very uncool and "an old man's bag"."

Being 77 years old I've probably qualified as an old man for a decade or more, and I've been incorrigibly uncool for most of my adult life. I even use one of my Billinghams as a briefcase when attending trade shows.

But as others have said, they are well-made and waterproof. However there is a weight penalty, as I discovered when I switched from using a Domke F6 to using a Hadley.

The Fogg 'Flute M9' fits the Q2 (with thumb rest and Match Technical lens cap) well.

I switch between the Flute and a Billingham 72, the Billingham has more padding and an easier to remove strap when carried inside another bag.

Hello everyone,

I have tried to find information about small and compact bags / messenger bags / backpacks suitable for the Leica Q, but I have not come out clearly.
While I wait to receive my Q, I would like you to recommend me which ones you use or which ones you see are the most appropriate.

Thanks in advance!

From the "camera bag for the Q2 that doesn't look like a camera bag" department, I would offer these two:

https://www.patagonia.com/product/stormfront-hip-waterproof-pack-10-liters/48147.html?dwvar_48147_color=DFTG&cgid=luggage-waterproof-bags-submersible

and - https://www.filson.com/medium-rugged-twill-field-bag.html#sku=11070232-fco-000971914

At present, I am using a Patagonia Black Hole 12 liter Mini Messenger Bag for everyday carry of my Q2.  This bag was unfortunately discontinued by Patagonia in 2019 but some are still available if you scour the www.  (ebay in particular).  This bag is feather light and nearly perfect for daily carry of the Q2.  I always customize my bags; for this bag I cut a 4"x16" piece of 1" thick gardener's knee pad from Lowe's  and stuck it in the bottom of the bag and was done.

The Filson bag is also a fantastic choice.  There is a small size of the Filson bag which will accomodate a Q2 and a few small accessories like an extra battery, extra SD cards, lens cloth and a lens brush.  The Filson bags are bombproof, but a bit on the heavy (in terms of weight) side compared to the Patagonia bags.

I'm using the Wotancraft Ryker S,  in Black/brown.  I am very satisfied : nicely finished and very good adaptation for Leica M or Q ...

I love this TIMBUK2 classic more than I should. After years of looking for a good, solidly built messenger bag, my search has ended. This bag is sturdy and well designed. The shoulder strap is comfortable to wear, and the distributes the weight evenly across my shoulder. The bag itself is spacious when I need it to be, and has straps I can use to cinch down the width if I need. The extra length of material where the flap folds over is, bar-none, my favorite aspect of this bag. I live in Washington, and this extra flap keeps the contents dry and the bag looking sharp. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a well-designed, sturdy bag.

The removable strap is also something to love about this bike messenger bag. It is a fully adjustable shoulder strap designed with an air mesh pad, which together gives you the highest comfort level, particularly when carrying heavy loads.

Fantastic. I've owned one of these for years and was just considering adding d-rings to the side to be able to add a carrying strap. These are tremendously rugged bags. They could be outfitted with a foam camera partition, or, (as I've been thinking) hold gear in small padded bags, ie: the Artisan & Artist pouches for compact cameras. I have a few - this one holds the Q2M with thumb support and Leica strap (14312) snugly.
