This is primarily a portrait lens but I also like it for its reach. It's very sharp wide open in the corners and so far I can't find any CA/PF. The way it handles light is as if the SL has more DR. The SL2 will be an incredible performer with it.

The good thing about the 90 apo M is that it works on the M10 even if the ISO dial is disconnected.

It also has no motors to go bad. Should last a lifetime with proper service.

The lens mount is not sealed.... and problems with water in den lens may occur later.

For me even 75 at f2.0 is not easy to focus totally accurate, specially as soon as things can move.

For this reason I really do appreciate to have AF in such a lens like 75mm and 90mm.

I agree that the 90mm seems designed for portraits, but the whole "extra narrow depth of field" thing, seems to allow you to take photos that have a distinctive look.  I don't think that my 85mm f1.x from Nikon / Zeiss could produce something like this.
