jmahto Posted July 12, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought this lens to be used on my old APS-C Canon. I had sold all lenses earlier and now I have started to use it sometimes. Just for fun, and also because I can abuse the camera and not worry about damaging it (current use it doing timelapse in backyard. The Canon is outside for whole month and half.. and counting. Only covered with a plastic bag). Today just for fun, I tried it on M240. Of course I need to use EVF for focusing and FOV is very close to 28mm which I already have, but I was surprised by how good it was. Even wide open at f/2.8, it is good enough (the softness can be somewhat addressed by little more sharpening) and by 5.6 very close to my 28 Crom ASPH... except in extreme extreme corner. It focuses also so damn close!Due to EVF use and focusing issue (adapter thickness means infinity lock is not infinity focus), I won't be using it on M240, but I will use it on my APS-C bodies (Canon and Sony).Just felt like sharing. Advertisement Posted July 12, 2018 Posted July 12, 2018 Hi jmahto, Take a look here Tried Zuiko 24mm f/2.8 on M240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Gregm61 Posted July 12, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 12, 2018 Olympus Zuiko lenses for their 35mm SLR system were as good as anyone was making over the same period. Doesn't surprise me to hear someone being please with one overall. That's part of the fun of the M240 and EVF option, although I am decidedly more of the "use M lenses on M bodies" kind. My main issue with non-M lens is that due to adapter thickness, infinity lock is not infinity focus. And there is EVF use. For me EVF use is secondary hassle though. There are R lenses for which I am happy to use EVF since the results are so good.

I'm in the same boat. It's nice that it's an option with the optional EVF, but I have my Fuji gear for those circumstances with adapting lenses.
