Came to my mind, " What is straight? A line can be straight, or a street, but human heart, oh, no, it's curved like a road through mountains." - Tennesse Williams, A Streetcar Named Desire. stuny Posted July 9, 2018 Share #3 Posted July 9, 2018 Very nice. There is a line in Josh White's blues, Where were you Baby? which goes, "I tried to take up with, A streetwalker named desire. Her prices were up so high I couldn't afford to try her, But where you baby...."

stuny Posted July 11, 2018 Share #8 Posted July 11, 2018 Dan - Even though he was so "clean and precise" in his playing (and of course a marvelous, expressive voice), vs. so many of the Delta and Piedmont style bluesmen, he was always my favorite. I have most of his recordings (none of his "Pinetop Tim"), and emulated his guitar style, beginning in the early '60s.
