Camera straps revisited

I use either the original strap the M10 comes with or a Crumpler Check Strap. Both of them are comfortable enough ( I never use heavy lenses on M bodies) and don’t take much room in the camera bag.

I have never liked the flashy straps like rope or weave that look like I could wear them as a belt, never use half or full cases either, it’s a tool, not a toy.

Nobody mentioned Gordy's ?

Very nice, simple, robust, classy, reasonably priced straps: https://gordyscamerastraps.com/products/neck-strap-horizontal

Very cool people, BTW.

I use Gordy's straps on  my M10, M7 and other cameras since a few years. They are good straps according to my taste and people there are gentle and effective if you ask any question.

I use https://www.barton1972.com/braided-v2-pitch-black.html on the M10, its has some flex so doesn't hurt the neck/shoulder. Also doesn't slip off when over one shoulder.

absolutely my favorite!  have this on two bodies and a Rock and Roll M10 strap.  I like the Rock and Roll, but these Bartons are better IMHO.

Greetings,

I have FINALLY found the perfect strap for my M10 and Summilux 50mm f1.4 Black Chrome lens.  The Sailor Strap Skinny Jimmy Deluxe is a slice of nirvana in the world of shoulder straps.  Soft, supple and well made.  Works across my chest, on the shoulder and tethered to my wrist.  I live in Denver, ordered the strap on Monday and it was delivered to my house on Thursday - all the way from Warsaw Poland!  This is a great strap and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Hey now,

I recently went to Italy by myself for a full 30 days.
I took my Leica M10, with 35 1.4 Summilux, and the longer "M" rock n roll strap (see attached picture).

I had this camera with me every day, all day -- I didn't take a camera bag or anything else.

The rock n roll strap is very comfortable, I really like it, and it wasn't in my way or too heavy (but I only had the .35mm).

It's a bit "thicker" than I'd like, and it's a bit "long" to deal with on a small Italian cafe table.

However, I would bundle some of the strap up on the table, and lay my camera on top of it (sort of like a cushion, for the camera -- see pic).

Hope this helps some.

This looks like a great strap and at $65 USD it is priced within reason:  https://rocknrollstraps.com/shop/camera-straps/snake-straps/snake-asian-blue-strap/

My Q2 is currently wearing this, which is really all a person could need in a strap:  https://www.vi-vante.com/camerastraps/sheetline/rope/aqua-blue

Pacsafe Unisex Carrysafe 100 GII Anti-Theft Camera Strap

cannot vouch for it's anti-theft capabilities, but it is a comfortable strap.  I've used the rock and roll and other expensive straps; I find them to be uncomfortable
