Another angle of this famous building shot in 2012.

Once again shot with the cheapest DSLR I could get that could accommodate Leica R lenses.

I didn't want to spend to much money as I was still hoping for the R10 but it never eventuated, so I crossed to Canon for my R lenses.

Isn't wonderful for Canon to call it's Mirrorless system the Canon R, never seen my R lenses so happy to be adopted and loved once again.

CL/280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R, shot through foliage . . .

Skilled at flying already, these young Common Tailorbirds were being coaxed to forage rather than beg for food from their parents.  The middle one, I suspect, is  momentarily entranced by seeing his own reflection for the first time in his young life . . .

Rob--the stories you tell are almost as wonderful as your brilliant photos! Waking up (in a very different time zone) to your photos is better than a great cup of coffee (well, almost.... 🤥)

Taken back in 2012 from my back yard, please don't ask me what type of bird it is, perhaps Rob might know.

But what I do know it was taken on the Canon 600D and the ELMARIT 180mm f2.8 via a Novoflex adapter.

CL/280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R . . .

The national bird of Singapore, Crimson Sunbird.  They are fewer in numbers and more difficult to find than their primarily yellow cousins.  I have closer/brighter/more detailed shots of this critter in my archives; this just happens to one from today's walk . . .

During my visit to Hong Kong in 1986, I bought another Leica R and that was the R4s Model 2.

I also had some Kodachrome in my other Leica but wanted to try the R4s/2 so I got some Fuji slide film to try out.

This shot was taken from the Peak looking down at Victoria harbour.

R4s/2 and the 35-70mm F3.5 (Minolta version) + Fuji slide film 100, later become Sensia.
