View to the next hill on a sunny winter day with some haze in the air.

Elmarit-R 180 (v2) @ F8, c-pol, Sony A7ii, contrast enhanced in LR.

I was surprised how good the Elmarit performs on long distance shots when it is stopped down.

best regards,

Timo

Nice shots, thank you. Just wondering: is it difficult to focus with a yellow filter? I ask this because I use a red filter on my Contax G2 and that's fine but on R cameras red is difficult. Maybe a yellow filter might give me the contrast I'm after.

No problems focussing with a medium yellow filter. I always use one when loaded with b&w film - and on an SLR there is no danger of forgetting it when switching to colour film!

I must try a yellow filter on my R lenses. Your shots have convinced me that yellow delivers enough contrast. I have a few rolls of tri-x and Rollei 200 and 400s. I have 10 rolls of cheap colour Fuji 200 which I will develop as b/w . It will be interesting how colour film developed as b/w will respond with a yellow filter.

Another from this week's Tri-X (R5, 60mm Macro Elmarit-R, yellow filter).  The yellow filter at work...
