microview Posted June 30, 2018 Share #61 Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) If first you format SD card in camera, open on computer screen via card reader (or Mac SD card slot). Ignore any items showing but just drag the downloaded firmware across to card content. Eject card and there should be no problem when inserted back into M10. Switch on and scroll as instructed by LUF admin <Go to Main Menu / Camera Information / Camera Firmware. Press “Yes” to confirm and start the process>. Upload takes about 10 minutes and rear screen shows progress. Edited June 30, 2018 by microview

lecycliste Posted June 30, 2018 Share #64 Posted June 30, 2018 I love to have 4min eposure time, would love to have the possibility to disable LENR, but its a first and important step. Thanks Leica, love my M10. Yup - waiting for LENR disable here too, for M10 AND SL. Can disable it in my EOS cameras, Nikon dSLRs can too - Hello, Leica? Important for long-exposure night sky shots. I'd also like to see upper time limits removed for B at moderate to high ISO. We don't need protection from ourselves - yes, the camera may get warm, but how about a temperature warning instead?
pgh Posted June 30, 2018 Share #65 Posted June 30, 2018 Wish the auto ISO went to true base ISO, which I think is around 160 or so - or that became a menu option - for eeking the best DR possible out of this sensor. That's really the only thing I'd hoped for out of an update. Other than that these sound like all nice things, but besides the sensor and the quality issues with my particular camera the M10 already is what I want it to be. That said, glad they are updating things, I hope they continue to do so, and make a statement about the true base ISO of the camera and allow us access to it. JWC Posted June 30, 2018 Share #66 Posted June 30, 2018 On my M10, under camera information on the rear screen, Camera Firmware reads 2.4.5.0, but is greyed-out. Did I do something wrong? If so, how do I fix it?

wpm Posted June 30, 2018 Share #69 Posted June 30, 2018 You're all doing better than me. I have two Macs and both say I don't have an app to open the firmware. Frustrating and a first for me with firmware updates.

I have two Macs and both say I don't have an app to open the firmware.Frustrating and a first for me with firmware updates. You don’t open the firmware. You load the sd card with the firmware on it, in the root directory, and the camera does the rest. Read the instructions carefully.

6bit Posted July 1, 2018 Share #72 Posted July 1, 2018 Help- I downloaded the firmware and inserted the sd card when I go to the camera information and firmware, it just show the firmware version, I cannot get to the prompt "update frimware" what is the right step after going to camerainformation/firmware what do I push the center button? any other camera settings that need to adjust. Thanks btw my SD card does not show root directory? it just show M10- Leica 100 and misc. Just drop the FW file onto your SD card. If the update FW message doesn't appear, be sure you downloaded the latest FW. I downloaded the previous one by mistake and after 5 tries I finally figured out I had downloaded the FW that was already installed on my M10.

rqliang Posted July 1, 2018 Share #74 Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) Any one had issues with the upgrade? Mine is running in 1.3.4.0, after clicked on YES to upgrade, then screen shows uncompressing file about 20-30 seconds, screen went off, but camera was still on, it seems the upgrade process stopped and camera remains the old version. Tried upgrading fireware few times, all the same. also tried reformat the card and recopying the file, no luck neither. Any suggestions? I may try redownloading the firmware, even the current FW shows perfectly in camera. Edited July 1, 2018 by rqliang

rqliang Posted July 1, 2018 Share #76 Posted July 1, 2018 Just to be clear, my problem with upgrade is that camera screen goes off during file uncompressing, and the upgrade process stops. 01af Posted July 1, 2018 Share #77 Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) ... my problem with upgrade is that camera screen goes off during file uncompressing, and the upgrade process stops. Maybe—it's just a guess—you cannot go directly from 1.3.4.0 to 2.4.5.0. Try upgrading to 1.10.4.0 first, then upgrade to 2.4.5.0 as a second step. adan Posted July 1, 2018 Share #78 Posted July 1, 2018 Hmm - I upgraded one of my M10s directly from 1.0.3 or whatever the introduction shipping firmware was in Feb. 2017. My thought was - what was the power-saving "camera off" time setting? I set mine to 5 minutes, just to be safe.
rqliang Posted July 1, 2018 Share #79 Posted July 1, 2018 I turned power saving OFF. The camera was still on even the screen went off. Thanks for confirming you have upgraded from older version to 2.4.5.0, I was wondering of that, too. rqliang Posted July 1, 2018 Share #80 Posted July 1, 2018 Thought about that, but since adan confirmed his case, so it must be something else then....
