Well, there's water impressionism, but this abstraction is stunning, so simple and such killer composition that the water animates with motion.

Thank you, your complement is way better than the photo.

I spent the day photographing a remarkable building by Edward Larrabee  Barnes and I was totally dissatisfied with my results. As I was leaving I saw this reflection of the building's cupola in a pool.

Sometimes that sidelong glance in a flick of the moment is the keeper, as you know. This is a vibrant impressionistic rendering, simple, emphatic, and certainly not boring. Hooray.

Abstraction

At the DDW in Eindhoven one of the graduates, Joep Truijen, showed a still camera that averaged the picture of visitors to his stand.

A very credible setting, and we liked the Mona Lisa outcome that this average abstracted portrait portrays. Here the average of 55 and soon 56 portraits.

The GPS location is shown too. So then this can be serialized to give a mappa mundi. [However, too bad this student did not understand the artistic content or intent. He was focussed on having made the code.] We liked this method to create a real da Vinci. I would have asked him in my museum if had had one . . .
