4pipes Posted June 18, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there a shortcut or button push that will automatically recenter the crosshair when using Liveview?

a.noctilux Posted June 18, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2018 (edited) No, never found how to do it. Only "quick path" is to turn the M10 off then on again. maybe "this topic" already in the FAQ. ... Edit: no it's not in the FAQ Edited June 18, 2018 by a.noctilux

jdlaing Posted June 20, 2018 Share #4 Posted June 20, 2018 Try tapping or half pressing the shutter button.
a.noctilux Posted June 20, 2018 Share #5 Posted June 20, 2018 Try tapping or half pressing the shutter button. Just try now what you suggest, the focus patch (if moved of course) stays where it was/is.
roverover Posted June 24, 2018 Share #6 Posted June 24, 2018 I loaded the Capture Assistants into my Favorites Menu so it's handy and then I will sometimes turn the "6 x 4 grid" on and use it to center the Crosshairs or Spot metering mode circle. The grid can help and you manually recenter it, but turning the camera off and back on is the only way to have it actually "reset" at this point.
