saptarshi Posted June 5, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I have the MM (the first version). I thought by half pressing the shutter release i could lock exposure (much like im used to on the m7). However in the viewfinder, despite half pressing, i see the shutter speed changing all the time (as I move the camera). Is it a bit more than a half press? Or a setting? Cheers Saptarshi
Advertisement Posted June 5, 2018 Posted June 5, 2018 Hi saptarshi, Take a look here Exposure Locking with Half Press?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Kwesi Posted June 5, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2018 Hi Saptarshi, Try a bit more than a half press. Its been a while since I had an m9 but I don't remember it behaving any differently than an m7 or m240. Welcome to the forum. wish I could be more helpful. You can download the manual for free if you dont have a hard copy. kwesi
a.noctilux Posted June 5, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 5, 2018 Saptarshi, I think that you may press further "second stage" to lock the exposure. First stage is to turn on the metering.
saptarshi Posted June 6, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted June 6, 2018 Thank you all. Yes it’s a slightly firmer press than I’m used to. Just a matter of getting used to it. The experience of m cameras is one of unadulterated pleasure! Thanks much Saptarshi
