Deliberate1 Posted June 5, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 5, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Friends, while working on an images last evening I discovered two blazing red pixels, and assume they are the "hot pixel" phenomenon. As I mentioned in the thread below, my S is going back to Leica for a sensor check for possible corrosion. Assuming what I see is just crud and not corrosion, how does Leica deal with hot pixels? Remap? Replacement? And if replacement, is there an S version of the M9 sensor with the new glass. Or would they just install the original generation S sensor. Cheers. jaapv Posted June 5, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2018 In general they would remap, if the number of remapped pixels exceeds tolerance, they will replace.
Deliberate1 Posted June 5, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted June 5, 2018 Thanks for yours. Any info if a replacement sensor would be the same as the latest M9 generation?
