helged Posted June 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 4, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) A quick question to the filter-users out there: when I use e.g. the 6x ND-filter from NISI on the 35mm-S, I get uneven exposure, with artificial overexposure in the lower 10-15 % of the image. I can only imagine some sort of light contamination/light leak from the sky, adding light to the foreground. I am carefully adjusting the position of the filter so that the foam on the filter cover the filter holder so this shoud be ok. Do I have to cover the filter system to ensure no light contamination? Any other suggestions? I am in the field with a new filter set, so I have limited possibilities to uncover whats going on her & now. Therefore, input is much appreciated! djmay Posted June 4, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 4, 2018 Make sure you cover the viewfinder eyepiece. Also light can leak through the open sides of the filter holder. The foam does not block all light. Jesse
