Female Ivy Mining Bee on limestone cliff habitat Swaddywell Nature Reserve, Peterborough UK.   Leica CL / Sigma 105/2.8 Macro 'L mount'. The lens is not really long enough for this type of fast moving insect photography on a cliff-side habitat. Plan to 'try again' with a longer manual focus macro lens.

Whilst photographing Ivy Mining Bees at Swaddywell Nature Reserve Peterborough, UK on October 1 2022, this Common Field Grasshopper landed on my plywood board (used to support my ground level seat and avoids damaging  bees' ground nests). First time use of my Canon FD 200/4 Macro plus Leitz Elpro VIIb (0.75 diopter) lenses and URTH FD to L mount adapter on recently acquired Leica CL.  I bought the FD 200mm Macro lens in 1983; it images fine with the CL.   ISO 1600  1/160  f11.
