I do notice an interesting difference to  the Q Macro thread - the longer focal lengths are really helpful.

For Macro, they hold an advantage.

Not only does it give a more pleasing perspective, it creates better lighting conditions. In some cases it allows us to approach the subject (some insects, for instance) without disturbing them.

Always find the centre of these big blousy poppies quite weird looking.  CL with Elmarit R 60mm 2.8 Macro
