onasj Posted May 29, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 29, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) From LeicaRumors: https://leicarumors.com/2018/05/28/new-leica-mirrorless-camera-to-be-announced-in-june-leica-c-m.aspx/ Summary for those who don't like to click: - New mirrorless camera - Between the CL and SL models (hmm) - L-mount - Full-frame - Called Leica C-M or Leica CM - New sensor with outstanding high ISO capability - To be announced around June 14, 2018 - 5 new mirrorless lenses to be released over the next 18-24 months While it's "just a rumor", I'll note that almost all the LeicaRumors, including new cameras like the CL, as well as new lenses like the 75 Noctilux, eventually turn out to materialize. Peter's sources seem to be pretty good by and large. Could this be a new full-frame version of the CL? A smaller (or, as Dr. Kaufmann reported in a recent interview, "more elegant") SL? Any guesses? bags27 Posted May 29, 2018 Share #2 Posted May 29, 2018 But see this thread, which expresses questions about the report, if it's based on the Kaufmann interviews, which is what he cites for evidence. I agree, however, that LR has been pretty accurate in the past: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/285079-possible-new-q-with-interchangeable-lenses-june-14th/
