JeremyG Posted May 28, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 28, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I haven't had my Leica Q for very long so in posting this query there may well be an obvious remedy which I've missed. I have the file format set to DNG+JPEG and have been experimenting with JPEG set to Monochrome, the manual suggests that whatever the JPEG settings the DNG files will still be in colour however they're also in monochrome. I also thought that when using the digital zoom the DNG file would always record at 28mm but again it records at the zoom length. Can anyone help please? Advertisement Posted May 28, 2018 Posted May 28, 2018 Hi JeremyG, Take a look here DNG Files. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted May 28, 2018 Share #2 Posted May 28, 2018 Which suggests to me that you are looking at the jpg file, not the DNG one. What post-processing software?
JeremyG Posted May 28, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted May 28, 2018 I knew there'd be a simple explanation, the downloaded thumbnails are the same in both JPEG and DNG as explained above however when I open the DNG files in Lightroom they are the full image in colour etc., thank you for pointing out the obvious! jwestman Posted May 29, 2018 Share #4 Posted May 29, 2018 I'm sure you've also discovered that when you use the crop tool on the dng file it returns to full 28mm. Enjoy your Q!
