jmr237 Posted May 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Curious to hear of people's experiences with the Kolari ultra-thin sensor glass modification. I'm considering it on either an A7RII or the newer A7RIII. Has the camera had any issues since modification? Any regrets on doing the modification? Paolo.Battista Posted June 1, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2018 Sorry, I don't have experience with that modification of the Sony cameras, But I use regularly the Sony A7 II with legacy SLR manual lenses (Leica-R, Contax and Olympus OM). I found some problems only with some wide angle lenses (for example, with the Summicron-R 35). But others, specially the OMs, works very well even without modification. I use the 21 f:2, 24 f:2,8 and 28 f:2,8 without noticeably problems, the 24 in particular is incredibly sharp from corner to corner from 5,6 on, possibly even at f:4.
