Deliberate1 Posted June 1, 2018 Author Share #21 Posted June 1, 2018 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Playing around in daylight, I can resolve individual bricks on those buildings. The pixel-level sharpness is not equal to the 180S, but the added magnification resolves more detail. Of course, it is a misty day, and there is a lot of air between camera and target, so the limits of resolution may not be due to the lens. --Matt Thanks for that comparison,Matt. It is fascinating to see the perspective difference between the 28mm (phone = 35mm MF) and the 210/Mutar 1.4, which by my calculations (.8x factor) is abut a 235mm in 35 mm terms. Just eyeballing it, it looks like the tele image is around .15% of the other (35*235=0.149?). I am sure that some of you math whizzes will school me on this. This weekend I am going out to put the 210 w/adapter to good use. David Edited June 1, 2018 by Deliberate1

Unfortunately there is NO elegant solution for the S user... I wish that Leica would commit to another telephoto, say 300mm... Albert I second and third that wish
helged Posted January 14, 2019 Share #23 Posted January 14, 2019 Any idea/knowledge why the HC300mm + 1.7 extender doesn't work on the S? The HC300mm is a fine lens; and it would be very useful to add on the 1.7 extender for long(er) reach. Particularly since the longest Leica alternative is 180mm. I took the HC300 and 1.7 TC on safari in September 2018. The HC300 looses AF with the 1.7 TC so I only used it once and quit using it. Trying to steady the camera with a focal length of over 500mm and manual focus will only work with static objects or landscapes neil
