Michael Geschlecht Posted May 16, 2018 Share #2 Posted May 16, 2018 Hello Mike, Hopefully you gathered all of the "scraps" & you vacuumed up all of the "rhinodust" so that there would be nothing for people who came by later to gather up. Is there something wrong with the right ear in the picture?Best Regards, Michael

Is there something wrong with the right ear in the picture? Best Regards, Michael Hi Michael, See the image below, the horn shavings are scattered with a blower. Those are big rubber ear plugs to protect the animal's hearing from the chainsaw & grinder noise. Thanks for your feedback. Best Mike Welcome, dear visitor! Michael Geschlecht Posted May 17, 2018 Share #5 Posted May 17, 2018 (edited) Hello Mike, Since $1,000,000 for 5.5 kilos of Horn is around $180 a gram I would think that some enterprising people might find picking up bits & pieces of scattered horn to be profitable. Perhaps in the future you might consider bringing some of those scraps back with you for later destruction. A small portable vacuum might be useful. 10 minutes of cleaning might well remove Tens of Thousands of Dollars of Horn from the Ever Present Pipeline. And if a small team had to remain for another day or so to "tidy up" this might take other Thousands of Dollars of Horn out of the market. It is good that you do this work.
