Joakim Posted May 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Today when I was out shooting with my S-006 and 120 APO I couldn't focus the lens all the way to infinity, first I was very confused but then I saw that it was the adapter for my Lee filter holder that was causing this since it has a larger outer diameter than the lens. So my question is if anyone here is using the Lee filter system (100mm) together with there Leica S and if you have a solution to this problem? I was thinking that maybe it would work with a step-up ring (and a wider adapter) to create some extra space between the lens and the adapter. Photon42 Posted May 12, 2018 Share #2 Posted May 12, 2018 You can help yourself out of the situation by screwing on a plain 72mm ring. Get an old filter and remove the glass. Or - if you must, use a clear glass filter. Probably they made it flush to not put too much pressure on the drive train, when the lens is put up side down (and with a camera on top). Dsauro Posted May 12, 2018 Share #3 Posted May 12, 2018 I just purchased the Hitech-Formatt 100 mm filter kit. I have the same issue on my 120APO. I was able to find a 77-77 step spacer on eBay which I’m waiting to arrive. Basically it’s a doubled up step bring so that I can focus to infinity . I think the price was about $18 US.
