pico Posted May 11, 2018 Share #8 Posted May 11, 2018 I am very happy using this lens. Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, with my m9, the experience was disappointing for the first version, and better for the second but still not acceptable. That does not mean your results cannot be satisfying. Enjoy! lct Posted May 12, 2018 Share #9 Posted May 12, 2018 I suspect the OP refers to the current version.
mdemeyer Posted May 12, 2018 Share #10 Posted May 12, 2018 The photo is titled “Disorientation”, which is a hint. ;-) When taken looking straight up, which way is down? Shouldn’t it turn 90 degrees?
jdlaing Posted May 12, 2018 Share #11 Posted May 12, 2018 The photo is titled “Disorientation”, which is a hint. ;-) When taken looking straight up, which way is down? I waited very patiently for you to answer that question.
Gobert Posted May 12, 2018 Share #12 Posted May 12, 2018 The photo is titled “Disorientation”, which is a hint. ;-) When taken looking straight up, which way is down? Now, you have a horizontally hanging lamp. Quite disorientating....

toyfel Posted May 12, 2018 Share #14 Posted May 12, 2018 Got a demo unit of the current version for a good price. It's a delight to use on the SL. Performance exceeded my expectations by quite a bit.

PEDROFIZ Posted May 14, 2018 Author Share #16 Posted May 14, 2018 And the second one. The quality is very poor because I can only post pictures less than 500k. Welcome, dear visitor! a.noctilux Posted May 14, 2018 Share #17 Posted May 14, 2018 Hello Pedrofiz, Nice photos. In my experience of the Super-Wide-Heliar 15mm, the perspective is not the same as yours in first picture (in gallery). Straight lines remain straight and not bent in . Crop ? What's your camera ?
magosak Posted May 14, 2018 Share #18 Posted May 14, 2018 I bought a used copy of this lens yesterday to use it on my M10. There is little play on the lens mount though which I hadn't noticed before buying it. My summicron-c 40mm does the same and it annoys the heck out of me. Performance wise, it is a very sharp lens and I am quite impressed.
bocaburger Posted May 15, 2018 Share #19 Posted May 15, 2018 (edited) I have a V.1 (LTM) and V.3. The 3 solves the slight edge color cast seen occasionally in certain shots on the 1, but does so at the expense of size and weight. As a travel lens I still prefer the 1, since it's not a lens I use much, and thus its tiny footprint is appreciated while PP to get rid of the cast, if needed, isn't a huge bother given the small number of shots I take with it. It's also the lens I choose when shooting my Nex6, where it substitutes for a 21mm (a favorite length with full-frame) and does not show any cast thanks to the crop. When I intend doing a lot of 15mm shots on full-frame, I grab the 3. The 1 is coded as a 21 pre-ASPH Elmarit; I haven't seen the need to code the 3 at all. Gobert Posted May 15, 2018 Share #20 Posted May 15, 2018 He always chooses the latest choice for an uncoded lens, which can be seen on the main screen.
