antigallican Posted May 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted May 7, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm starting to think if Leica made an 80 or 85mm Leica Q to go with the 28mm wedding photographers would think they'd died and gone to heaven. The weight! The quality.
Advertisement Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Hi antigallican, Take a look here 85mm Leica Q. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jonatdonuts Posted May 7, 2018 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2018 A fixed lens 85mm would be for a very niche market. Although Leica is of course, a very niche company. A 35mm or 50mm true would make better business sense. Would also bring the size of the lens down. I couldn't say no to a true 1.4 50mm with a megapixel bump (making it possible to crop to 75mm / 85mm without much trouble.
mike3996 Posted May 7, 2018 Share #3 Posted May 7, 2018 I'd be happy with the current sensor + 50 lux if it was as sharp as the 28 lux.
OR120 Posted May 7, 2018 Share #4 Posted May 7, 2018 I'm with you on this. The perfect combination for me and the Q -- one 28 lux and one 85 LUX -- full auto focus (when needed) what a perfect combination (for me) Please set this plan in motion ASAP I'm starting to think if Leica made an 80 or 85mm Leica Q to go with the 28mm wedding photographers would think they'd died and gone to heaven. OR120 Posted May 8, 2018 Share #7 Posted May 8, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Really, think about shooting one wedding with one Q with a 28 then.......... add another Q with 85 wow maybe toss in a flash or two with remote triggers (when you need a little extra light) tough job........... but then again every wedding's different... probably depends on what the client is looking for I'll take a stab at it
