Not sure if I have shown these in another section of this Site BUT I took these on the London Leica Meet on outdated Tudor 100 ( Fuji) film  and scanned prints.

First role from new to me Leica MP developed, I forgot how nice film was.  Leica 50mm f/2, Kodak Tri-X.  For this first pass, I used a lab for processing and scanning, but will work towards doing those myself in the next couple months.  Image of my vintage stereo.

About 8-9 years ago, I decided to buy a Leica as I'd always wanted one since high school photo class where I had a Yashica J rangefinder (high school for me was '66-68).  After college, I received an OM-1 and three Zuiko lenses as a graduation gift and used those for years until I started getting into digital in the early days.  While I am still primarily a digital photographer, here are three images I shot with the 1967 M4 I bought from Samy's and the 1957 5cm DR Summicron I bought from Sherry Krauter.  Had to try to remember Sunny 16 and think these exposures were OK.  Developed the film (Tri-X) at the local college and then scanned at home on my Epson V700 scanner.  I put the camera away as a display piece for a few years but am using it again currently (halfway through a roll).

This last image is of the Leica in its Kameraleder half case (apologies that it was shot on digital but who doesn't like looking at pictures of Leicas?)

Seeing the Atom Heart Mother LP there reminds me of my teenage years. There is an incredible amount of music available nowadays to listen to (and watch) via various streaming services – it really is a great time to be interested in music – but I wouldn't want to change my own experience of growing up with vinyl and the comparatively limited amount of music I had access to. Buying an album was a serious investment and, I'm sure like everyone else then, I used to pore over the cover, lyrics, personnel details, etc. whilst listening to the album from end to end.

Love it Wattsy!  Like the Leica film camera, listening to a classic LP, and in particular, the warmth over an old amp, is like film over digital.  I didn't expect many to pick up on Atom Heart Mother LP!  I did transfer Wish You Were Here to reel and the sound is fabulous.  My wife recently gifted me a DVD "Live at Pompeii" which is excellent.  For the rest, this is Pink Floyd.  Cheers,  John

One of the three dry docks in Govan, Glasgow. Now flooded and largely forgotten. When the docks were built - in the 19th century - they could accommodate the largest ships in the world. They are formed of hand-carved grey granite. The workmanship, and the dereliction, are impressive in equal measure. The docks stand in mute testament to a time when Glasgow was a global industrial powerhouse.
