It make sense as there's a market for it (despite a tiny one) but I doubt the successor will be released anytime soon, it might base on some future models of M10 rather than the present generation, I believe.

Such an interesting camera. The price is so off-putting though. Just a mental hurdle to overcome I guess. Less is more is a great mantra too.

You may find some used copies in like new condition for much less. I did and flew over the "mental hurdle".
