jdlaing Posted April 24, 2018 Share #4 Posted April 24, 2018 Turn the camera on outside and leave it on for a while when walking around. It takes a while on the first lock on and then it becomes faster. Give it a try and let us know how it progresses.

Exodies Posted April 25, 2018 Share #13 Posted April 25, 2018 Similar reports in the past have been due to a loose cable in the camera, if I remember correctly. Have Leica examine both items.

fotmaesron Posted April 25, 2018 Author Share #17 Posted April 25, 2018 SO its probably the grip that's don't connect. I have to sent the grip back. My M is second hand the grip is New. Fotmaesron
jdlaing Posted April 25, 2018 Share #18 Posted April 25, 2018 Before you go through that......take one last try: Set camera auto off to off. Turn GPS on in the menu. Mount the grip snugly. Go outside with camera on for half an hour and see if it pops up.
fotmaesron Posted April 25, 2018 Author Share #19 Posted April 25, 2018 That's what I Did this evening. No Luck. No change. 1 hour walk.
Peter Kilmister Posted April 25, 2018 Share #20 Posted April 25, 2018 If your M240 doesn't allow you to select GPS 'on' in the menu as soon as it is attached then there is a connection problem. Walking around for an hour maybe good for you but it won't cure the problem. There are male and female connections. Check if there is anything in the way. Any tiny piece of dirt could cause a short circuit. I'd use a rocket blower or a vacuum cleaner nozzle to make sure everything is clear.
