M8 sensor cleaning advice

Good evening,

Last week I took some pictures of the bright sky with no clouds with my M8 and I discover a lot of dirt spots on the files. I have the liquid and brush to clean my Sony A7 so I wonder if it is safe to perform the operation myself or if the CCD sensor requires a different product or procedure. I don't want to send my camera six months to Leica for that.

Thank you in advance,

Ricardo

Two drops on edge and wait 15 sec for it to spread.  You will need proper width.

Clean properly with blower after session with lens changes and problem with stuck particles will be much less.

I resorted to canned air with a used D3 that probably was never cleaned.  KEEP CAN UPRIGHT AND USE VERY SHORT BLASTS.   Did the trick.

Today a use my airbrush that has a moisture trap.  Air is not cold , somewhat powerful,  and works if hand blower does not.  Step two is Lighted Loupe and Lens pen.  Three is wet and I have not resorted to that for years.  Works for any camera, Leica or Nikon and M9.
