ISO Dial Not Working

This might be user error, but I wanted to check.  I just got my M10 back from Leica NJ and the ISO dial seems to be completely disconnected.  It will not change the ISO setting when I turn it.  Isn't it supposed to override what you set in the camera menu (m-iso)?

The Iso isn’t stuck- I can still change it in the menu. The dial just does absolutely nothing.

You should have it serviced as described above. I do not see what can be discussed here. Its a case for the Leica technicians. Or am I wrong? What really is your expectation? Do I misunderstand?

I'm asking because in all the other circumstances of the iso dial breaking, it seems that the iso gets stuck.  On mine it isn't- I can still change it in the menu.  I also want to make sure that I'm not missing something here and that it really is broken.  I don't think I'm missing anything...

Sounds like a special edition.

Special editions command a premium in the second hand market.

I had to laugh at this.  I'll sell it as a rare prototype with a dummy ISO dial!

In all seriousness though, I just shot some more photos with it and the ISO dial is working now.  Maybe it is a faulty connection that only works intermittently?  I wouldn't care if there was a way to adjust the ISO more quickly in the menu, like on the M9 and M240.

If you have the ISO setting in your "Favorites" menu, then one push of the 'Menu' button, brings you to the setting.   This might possibly be just about as fast as unlocking, turning, and locking the ISO dial.   Granted, this is a compromise, but it does take the ISO dial out of the picture if you feel it is not reliable.

The ISO dial is very reliable unless it’s broken. In that case a discussion thread needs to be started.

Do you say that whenever somthing is broken then it has to be discussed here? I wonder then if I should open a new thread as I found a small little ditch on the top edge in front of my M10 . . .
