jmahto Posted April 25, 2018 Share #21 Posted April 25, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) and something which to my eye doesn't look to unnatural ..... but there again it's all a matter of taste I only use HDR when the alternative image is a dead loss without it ...... and I'm far too lazy to use multiple flash or lighting set-ups ..... You are welcome to tear any or all to shreds in the spirit of 'constructive' criticism ..... L1100544-HDR.jpg This one looks good. Outside seems overcast though or inside is too bright... but it doesn't look unnatural. Nice image. Like it. I would have done it differently but I like it. Advertisement Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 Hi jmahto, Take a look here Too much HDR. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pico Posted April 25, 2018 Share #22 Posted April 25, 2018 (edited) There is a very popular/famous photographer in Arcata, California which is populated by tolerant, enthusiastic, older, original hippies. (Part of my family lives there: brother, his children, grandchildren.) Anywho, the popular photographer does photos of every community event and he fell into scripted post-processing every f*cking picture to HDR. I finally asked a resident what he thought of the guy's pictures and he replied, "Hey, man, we were there. Ya know? Like in person. The pictures ain't far out. Ya know?" No, I do not know. But WTF? tobey bilek Posted May 11, 2018 Share #23 Posted May 11, 2018 My position is if looks anything unlike a normal photo, no good. Extreme HDR has worked for me trying to get lights at night, but that is the exception. Be gentle with HDR.
