AntonioF Posted April 9, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I’m looking for an alternative to the 50mm SBOOI finder for a Leica IIIc as the SBOOI costs more than the camera itself (CLA included). Is the Voigtlander Kontur a good alternative? Any other suggestions? PS Is the viewfinder of the screw mount cameras calibrated for a certain distance? For example 3m or 5m? Advertisement Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Hi AntonioF, Take a look here Alternative to SBOOI finder. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
a.noctilux Posted April 10, 2018 Share #2 Posted April 10, 2018 Hello Antonio, I see in SBOOI as the best 50mm viewfinder since day one, when I look through it first time. So nice I use them (I have some ) on Leica ... M film/digital/"0" Replica . Like you I wanted another less expensive and have Kontur for that. This "Black finder" is something to be tried to judge if it's usable with two-eyes-open-style. The frame/subject may not "mix" well in real life use. Another viewfinder "50" from Voigtlander SBOOI alternative, but not cheap and it's been discontinued by now: Have a look at this site for viewfinder infos: https://www.cameraquest.com/voigtacc.htm Arnaud
