Greetings, everyone.  I've just joined this forum and I'm looking forward to using it.

I'm new to Leica, having in the past used primarily Nikon and Minolta (long time ago).

I'm retired and a widower - my wife died almost two years ago from ALS, and since I no longer had the caregiving duties, I've rejoined serious photography in a big way.  I live in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Hello Jim,

Welcome to the Forum.

I am sorry about your wife.

This Forum is a good place to both share what you know & to learn. The members live all over the World & have a wide variety of interests both photographically & other. This is a good place to ask questions.

I think you will find it interesting here.

Best Regards,

Michael

Welcome, Jim.

It's fabulous to see another American on the Forum. I look forward to seeing your photos on the site.

Photography is a great hobby, one that has given many, many of us much-needed distraction from our problems. When I came here circa 2002 I knew nothing about Leica either, but luckily this forum is remarkably patient and helpful.

Welcome, have a good time, and enjoy!

Yeah. I joined a month or so ago. First time leica user/ owner. Wanted one for a long, long time. Finally bought a CL. Longtime Olympus user, but i'll use anything. Canon, Nikon, iphones.  I'm a shutter whore, but can be quite selective in my equipment selection.

I'm very curious about the leica community, as it is clearly a separate group among photographers simply based on the price point and mystique.
