Samir Jahjah Posted March 29, 2018 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I noticed that prices of M 240 and M10 are very similar in Leica Store here in the US. Will Leica continue to manufacture both models?
Advertisement Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Hi Samir Jahjah, Take a look here Leica M240 prices as high as M10. Why?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pedaes Posted March 29, 2018 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2018 Whilst there is demand for a M with video I guess. Although I expect there is a stock already in place to see out demand.
Luke_Miller Posted March 30, 2018 Share #3 Posted March 30, 2018 (edited) I don't recall seeing Leica discount products sold as new, so the advertised prices of remaining M-240 inventory remains pretty much as it was and close to that of the M10. Some may see the M-240 as a more complete camera than the M10. In addition to the video function the mult-function grip available for the M-240 (and not for the M10) allows the addition of a second flash shoe. So with the M-240 one has the option to use the EVF and flash simultaneously. For video the Leica Microphone adapter is available and the larger battery (and lack of heating issues) allows longer live view and video sessions.
