Leica M6/5 rental.in London?

Hello,

 

I will be traveling in London for three days and I was wondering if it is possible to rent an M6 or M5 with a 50 or 35 lens for a day or two ...

 

Any shop doing this kind of service?

The Pro Centre has the S and SL systems available for rental and I think Fixation did too (but not now) but I don't think you can rent M system cameras or lenses in London. The Classic Camera once offered the M system for rental but that was many years ago and I'm not sure it was a resounding success for them. Your best bet is to talk to one or two of the secondhand dealers and see if they have anything they have taken into stock (as opposed to selling on commission) that they might be willing to let you "rent" but I think it is a long shot.
