This is a beautiful image.  Always changing with the light. Hard to believe we used to use this as a missile range.  Thanks for posting.

The White Sands Missile range is still in use. They certainly do not intend to land them in the national monument though! They do close the public roads during periods of tests, and recommend that no one plays with found missile debris in the monument (but to report it so any can be removed):
