I will be traveling to Fairbanks, Alaska next month to photograph the northern lights.  It's a Canon trip and I will primarily use a Canon 1dxmkii and either a 14mm 2.8 or 24 mm 1.4 EF L series camera/lens combination.

Was thinking that the leica would be good too and tried out photographing the night sky with my m10 with a 35mm 1.4 fle lens

The attached is a 15 second photo at iso 1600.  There is a lot of background light as we live 25 miles west of Philadelphia. Photograph is from east to west Orion, to Taurus to Pleadies (M45, seven sisters).

Anybody out there photograph the aurora with a Leica, if so, any suggestions?  Thanks.
