enboe Posted February 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 19, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I could not find the original thread which had a link to a commercial "rubber restoration" pen product for sale, but I did remember the thread said you also could use baby wipes. Guess what, worked fine! A little elbow grease as you have to go over each groove individually several times, but a good TV show and a couple of baby wipes cleaned off all the white oxidation just fine. Thanks to the original poster who gave the tip. Eric
Advertisement Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 Hi enboe, Take a look here Restoring Summarit 75 and 90 rubber focus rings - Baby Wipes!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Keith (M) Posted June 23, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 23, 2018 Have just been searching on the same subject, like you failed to find the original thread - but good to read about baby wipes! My 75mm (rarely used) has the whitening and I was looking for the solution (!) to remove it prior to selling (it is otherwise mint). Been a looong time since we had baby wipes in the house though...
