Exodies Posted February 8, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Suppose you are taking photographs in a place where the artificial light has been gelled to produce a certain look. How do you produce a profile to use to develop your dngs to preserve that look? I think the normal colorchecker passport process will attempt to turn the scene into standard daylight; my brain refuses to work this week. A related task I would like to attempt is to produce a profile for a digitally generated theoretical lighting scheme. Any ideas?

frame-it Posted February 8, 2018 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2018 (edited) i think you need to set your color balance manually to the temp of the lights before you gel the lights, then set your exposure manually, after you gel the lights. i guess you would use the dng profile editor to save a custom preset for PP Edited February 8, 2018 by frame-it

Thank you, I had missed the obvious and got lost. I think I also need to take a white balance reading before the lighting is adjusted.
