Suppose you are taking photographs in a place where the artificial light has been gelled to produce a certain look. How do you produce a profile to use to develop your dngs to preserve that look? I think the normal colorchecker passport process will attempt to turn the scene into standard daylight; my brain refuses to work this week.

A related task I would like to attempt is to produce a profile for a digitally generated theoretical lighting scheme.

Any ideas?

i think you need to set your color balance manually to the temp of the lights before you gel the lights, then set your exposure manually, after you gel the lights.

i guess you would use the dng profile editor to save a custom preset for PP

Of course! Thank you, I had missed the obvious and got lost. I think I also need to take a white balance reading before the lighting is adjusted.
