Pjay Posted February 4, 2018 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Walking through Bankstown in western Sydney, I was struck by the opulence of this furniture. The business owners were very obliging when I requested permission to take photos, and explained the quality of the furniture and the particular migrant group that purchased this kind of furnishing. Keith_W Posted February 5, 2018 Share #2 Posted February 5, 2018 Which particular migrant group would that be? There is a shop similar to this in Sydney Rd, Melbourne. Although these days Sydney Rd is where people of Middle East origin tend to congregate, the shop is Italian owned and most of the clientele seem to be Italian. platypus Posted February 17, 2018 Share #4 Posted February 17, 2018 Taste? unarguably it is each to his own, and fair enough too. Recently watching Fargo Season 2 on DVD: the Lester Nygaard character was briefly to be seen seated on an identical unit (other than the colour: greyish/silver) the scene was shot in the lobby or bar of an unidentified hotel on the Las Vegas strip. I imagine that just out of camera range there would have been a whole suite of matching furniture.
