Newbie here, hello all.

 

After some years away from Leica, I have decided to come back with a shiny new M10 as it seem they have finally made a digital M worthy of the red dot.

 

Anyway, the Voiglander 15mm v2. I had this on my M-P and had huge colour shift problems and mostly used it for monochrome pics. So two questions for you guys, I had a program on my mac that sorted the colour shift problem but have forgotten the name of it. Any ideas?

 

Also now the M10 is slimmer does the lens still fit as the rear node extends quite far (hence the colour problems I believe)

 

Ideally I’d go for the Leica 18mm 3.8 but I splurged on a Summi 35 and I guess my daughter will need some new clothes at some point.

Richie, the 15mm v1 I just tried fits my M10. A slight red colour shift shows on the right vertical side of the frame. You may use CornerFix or the Flat Field plugin with Lightroom.

 The body of the M10 is slimmer, but the flange (register) distance is of course the same.

Of course the distance is the same, stupid of me. It would need its own new lens range wouldn’t it? That would be true if Apple owned Leica

Another option would be the CV MKIII.  I kept my MKI because of its diminutive size for travel, and I tend not to take so many shots with it thus correction (if needed, it doesn't always, depending on the shot) isn't a huge pain.  I have the MKIII also, which is not that much bigger (to me) than the MKII, which doesn't need any correction, and which I use when I'm counting on taking a lot of shots with it.

Thanks all, I’ve gone for the MKIII version after some research as it seems to have been redesigned for digital. Not too fussed about the size as I’ll be using an EVF with it. Good price at Wex photographic too (£550)

I have the 15mm VIII too and its a great lens for the money, and any aberrations are easy corrected in LR/C1Pro etc

 

For ultra wides though I prefer my 21mm Super Elmar F3.4 from Leica, it definitely has better colour, contrast and has less distortion (functon of its slightly less focal length too of course)..

Just got a Voigtlander 15 v2  on my M10 - want to report that there is barely, very slight colour shift - in my book it's not colour shift but for some who are very keen on 100%, maybe it's 1% colour shift. It was really bad on the M240, even in my book. For me, the V2 is perfect if it works on the M10 - so tiny and compact.
