You mean Topaz?. Yes - works just fine.

 

Better than plain old Lightroom Classic? I don't find the NR in that much good.

Download Define or Nik collection from Google.  FREE.  

 

If you must,  put an edge mask on the NR layer and the sharp edges stay sharp.
