Vintage portraits with the Leica Thambar

Recommended Posts

Lovely image but you appear to have focussed on the sleeve rather than the eyes.

Does this matter ? Look at the picture as a whole, in my eyes it‘s perfect ! It‘s the best portrait I‘ve ever seen shot with the Thambar up to now ! Congratulations, Milan !

I think it does yes. I'm naturally drawn away from the face to the in focus areas. I would perhaps use the blur tool to make it more uniformly soft then it will matter less.

The 2nd image is nicer.

The series is excellent and I can see, why people go for the Thambar.

Sorry, just personal taste, I have the feeling this is not the lens for me.

...may I ask, whether the third picture was taken wide open, while the first two were stopped down a bit?

A jump back in time! Well done!

For sure an excellent lens on an excellent camera. But more important an excellent photographer. And the model is excellent as well!

The concept, the light, the process...bravo!
